Born in Scotland, raised in Portsmouth, Hampshire, I have travelled extensively and lived in Spain for a while, before returning to the warmer climate of sunny Pompey!
I have previously worked as a Maritime Weapons Technician, a Telecommunications Engineer, a Technical Trainer, and a Diversity Trainer for some of the U.K.'s top companies including B.T., Marconi Defence Systems and Her Majesty's M.O.D.
Creatively I have been a Co-Producer, an actor, an extra, a stand up comic and I was the singer-songwriter for the band "Tarkus". I also wrote lyrics for other bands, and sold short stories, sketches and poetry before I graduated into scriptwriting in 2008.
Perhaps because I love to explore compelling characters and tell their exciting stories, I have become a prolific screenwriter, having since created a diverse portfolio of scripts across all the genres.
I also post a friendly, informative screenwriters blog which has cultivated some 2,500 regular readers.
